Who is it for?

  • Post-surgery recovery after cosmetic surgery (liposuction, tummy tuck, BBL, breast augmentation) or orthopedic surgery: reduces swelling, bruising and fibrosis, and supports smoother healing.
  • Water retention and heavy legs, especially at the end of the day, after flights or in hot weather.
  • Pregnancy and postpartum: relieves swollen legs and ankles (with your doctor's approval).
  • Bloating and sluggish digestion.
  • Immune support and fatigue: during seasonal changes or after an illness.
  • Skin and cellulite: a complement to maderotherapy for body contouring.

What to expect

Your therapist starts with a short intake (reason for the visit, recent surgery, contraindications). The drainage uses very light, slow, rhythmic pressure following the path of the lymphatic vessels: neck and collarbones first, then abdomen, legs or arms depending on your needs. It is never painful — most clients relax deeply. Allow 60 minutes for a targeted area, 90 minutes for the full body. Drink plenty of water afterwards.

Contraindications

Lymphatic drainage is not recommended in case of acute infection or fever, venous thrombosis, uncontrolled heart or kidney failure, or cancer under active treatment without medical clearance. After surgery, wait for the delay recommended by your surgeon before your first session. When in doubt, call us and we will point you to the right treatment.

Frequently asked questions

How many sessions do I need after cosmetic surgery?

It depends on the procedure and your surgeon's recommendations. Many surgeons suggest a series of closely spaced sessions in the first weeks, then gradually spacing them out. Bring your surgeon's instructions: your therapist will adjust the plan with you.

Does it hurt?

No. Lymphatic drainage uses very light pressure, much gentler than a regular massage. After surgery the area can be tender, but the treatment stays comfortable.

Is it covered by my insurance?

Yes, in most cases: our massage therapists are members of associations recognized by insurers and an official receipt is issued on request. Check the amount covered by your plan.

Lymphatic drainage or maderotherapy?

Lymphatic drainage is manual and very gentle, focused on swelling and circulation. Maderotherapy uses wooden tools and firmer pressure to sculpt and firm. The two work well together, often alternated.
