Massage Therapy
In the heart of Griffintown, Centre Thérapeutique Griffintown welcomes you to a space dedicated to your well-being and health. Our massage therapy services are designed for anyone looking to restore balance and serenity.
Insurance receipts
All of our massage therapists are certified and members in good standing of professional associations recognized by insurance companies. After each session, an official massage therapy receipt is issued on request, in the therapist's name with their membership number. You can then submit it to your group insurance plan (Manulife, Sun Life, Desjardins, Canada Life, Beneva, iA, etc.) or your private insurance. Most plans in Quebec reimburse massage therapy, in full or in part, up to an annual maximum: check your coverage with your insurer before your appointment. Receipts cover therapeutic, deep tissue, sports, prenatal and hot stone massage as well as manual lymphatic drainage. Aesthetic services (facials, lashes, brows, spray tan) are not eligible.

Quality and Professionalism
Each practitioner at our centre is a certified massage therapist and a member in good standing of professional massage therapy associations. This affiliation ensures not only a high level of expertise, but also an approach that is continuously updated with the latest advances in the field. We provide high-quality care in complete safety.
Personalized Care
We understand that each person is unique, with specific needs. That is why we offer two types of care: relaxation and therapeutic massage. Whether you are looking for a moment of relaxation or a more targeted treatment for specific pain or tension, our professionals are here to guide you. They will choose the massage style best suited to your needs, ensuring a personalized and effective experience.
Therapeutic Massage
Therapeutic massage is intended for those with specific needs related to pain or muscle tension. This massage uses more targeted and deeper techniques to reach underlying muscle layers. It is effective for improving mobility, reducing inflammation, and accelerating the healing process of damaged muscle tissue.
Deep Tissue
Targets the deeper layers of muscles to treat chronic tension and pain. This massage is ideal for those who suffer from persistent pain or stiffness in specific areas.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage is designed for those looking for an escape from daily stress. This type of massage uses gentle, flowing techniques to induce a state of deep relaxation. Slow, rhythmic movements help release superficial tension and harmonize the body and mind. Ideal for recharging and restoring inner balance.
Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmic technique that aims to stimulate lymph circulation, a bodily fluid that helps eliminate toxins and strengthen the immune system. This type of massage is generally used to reduce swelling, improve blood circulation, and promote a feeling of lightness and well-being.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone massage is a massage technique that uses heated volcanic stones, usually basalt. The stones are placed on specific points of the body and used by the therapist to massage the muscles. The heat from the stones helps relax the muscles deeply, improves blood circulation, and provides a sense of well-being. This massage is perfect for those seeking deep relaxation and relief from tension.
Cupping Therapy
Uses cups to improve blood circulation and promote tissue healing. This ancient method is known for its effectiveness in relaxing muscles and relieving pain.
Sports Massage
Adapted to the needs of athletes and active individuals, this massage helps prepare muscles for activity, speed up recovery after exercise, and prevent injuries. It uses various techniques such as kneading, friction, and tapping, often combined with more intensive methods.
Post-Surgical Massage
Post-surgical massage is a specialized massage technique designed to support recovery after surgery. It helps reduce inflammation, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, minimize scar adhesions, and promote better tissue mobility. This type of massage is often recommended after aesthetic or medical surgeries to speed up healing and optimize results.
Prenatal Massage (Pregnant Women)
Prenatal massage, or massage for pregnant women, is specifically designed to meet the needs of expectant mothers. It uses gentle techniques to relieve pain, reduce swelling, and promote relaxation. The massage often focuses on the lower back, hips, and legs to relieve areas most affected by body changes during pregnancy. It is generally adapted based on the client’s position and needs, using support pillows.
